Chef Carrie Morey

Serving up Southern Charm

Carrie Morey founded Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit in 2005 with the goal of making the tender, buttery, handmade biscuits of her mother available to people across the country. More than twenty years later, Callie’s has become an iconic Southern brand with national retail and e-commerce distribution, multiple eateries, a food truck, and a devoted following.

Carrie is the author of Callie’s Biscuits and Southern Traditions and Hot Little Suppers, and stars in the PBS culinary series How She Rolls, which follows her journey as an entrepreneur, mother, and Southern food expert. Her work has been featured by Saveur, Food & Wine, Southern Living, The New York Times, Oprah, and numerous Food Network and Cooking Channel programs.

Her handmade biscuits, pimento cheeses, and artisan products have earned 22 sofi Awards from the Specialty Food Association, and she is widely recognized as one of the leading voices in Southern food and hospitality. Beyond her own business, Carrie serves as a mentor to emerging food entrepreneurs and is regularly invited to speak on entrepreneurship, hospitality, and Southern culinary traditions.
